Comments Which Inspire Me

So many people often tell me that I inspire them. It makes me feel great to know that my success can not only improve my life but somehow touch the lives of others. So many times I find my inspiration in others too. I reserved this page so that I can post quotes which I stumble across and suddenly find inspiration. ~Galen

Remember every positive thought is 1000's of times stronger than any negative thought. Reject any thought that leaves you with a bad feeling. As soon as you have a bad feeling let that be a warning sign to you, immediately think of something that makes you happy.

Make a list of ideas that trigger a flood of happy thoughts for you. Any time a bad feeling creeps in, wash it out with your list of great happy thoughts.

Mornings With Fitzy

Let me tell you about Fitzy.

When I sign into the gym in the morning, somewhere between 4:30 and 4:45 am, there's always one name in the book ahead of me. Fitzy. He's 85 years old, and he rides his bike a couple of miles to the gym every morning. He works out, takes a steam bath, showers, and then pedals down the street to a small pond where he feeds the ducks day old bread. After feeding the ducks, he pedals over to church, stays for a mass, and then pedals home.

He's amazing.

When I see his name in the book ahead of mine, I shake my head and laugh. He's out-working me. It fires me up. When I swing open the door to the weight room and see him standing there with 2 dumbbells over his head, I feel like I just walked into a scene from Rocky 12. He greets me with a loud "Good Morning" and a big smile, and I do the same. Then I get down to work, and I think about finding "My Inner Fitzy".

I find a lot of motivation from my morning encounter with him. I mean, he's 85. Isn't that what this journey is all about? Isn't it about leading a long, active healthy life? It's hard to not give my all on the treadmill with him standing right there pumping iron after his morning cycle.

One of these days, I am going to beat him to the gym. Today wasn't that day.
